Anti-worker Republicans in Wisconsin are hitting a new low.

The Wisconsin AFL-CIO and ROck County Central Labor Council have made endorsements for the April 4, 2017 general election.

Tell Congress to oppose the Republicans’ plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act because it will confiscate health care benefits from millions of people, hand a big tax break to the wealthy few and impose a burdensome permanent tax on working people’s health benefits.

Tell your members of Congress to oppose the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, especially if there’s no plan to replace it that provides quality, affordable health care for everyone.

The ink wasn’t dry on Andrew Puzder’s withdrawal as secretary of labor nominee, but union leaders were celebrating. AFSCME President Lee Saunders said Puzder had “nothing but contempt for everything the Labor Department stands for.” AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said “the power of collective action” had taken Puzder down. Thomas Perez, the former secretary of labor now running to lead the Democratic National Committee, hopped on a conference call with reporters to celebrate.
